In this policy GPGA/we refers to Global Power Generation Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 130 542 031), its subsidiaries, related bodies corporate and the employees and officers of these companies. This policy is designed to ensure that personal information collected by GPGA is handled appropriately and in accordance with the requirements of applicable privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1998 (Cth) (the Act) and the Australian Privacy Principles (the APPs). This policy aims to provide a clear and transparent understanding of how GPGA collects, handles, and uses personal information, the circumstances under which GPGA may disclose personal information to third parties, your access rights to your personal information that we hold, and what action you can take should you be unhappy with how we have handled your personal information. GPGA employees and officers are required to comply with this policy.

1 Personal and Sensitive Information
1.1 This policy concerns personal and/or sensitive information as defined under the Privacy Act. The types of information that we may collect and hold about you could include:
a) identification information such as your name, postal or email address, telephone numbers, and date of birth;
b) documents or information relating to employment with GPGA;
c) internet clickstream and cookies data;
d) financial details such as your bank account number; or
e) other information we think is reasonably necessary for, or directly related to, our business activities.
Personal Information means any information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable:
1.2 Sensitive Information is a subset of Personal Information and includes information or an opinion (that is also personal information) about an individual’s: racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs or affiliations, membership of a trade union, sexual orientation or practices, or criminal record and health information about an individual.
2 Collection of Personal Information
2.1 GPGA collects personal information in a variety of ways necessary for conducting its business, including when:
a) we respond to queries regarding our business;
b) we communicate with you;
c) we make announcements, issue invitations or supply information to you;
d) we recruit staff or engage contractors; or
e) you visit our website
3 Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
3.1 The use to which we can put personal information depends on the reason for which it was collected. This may include training, business development, marketing, and recruitment activities. We do not use your personal information for unsolicited marketing or business development purposes. If we do use your personal information in this context, it is because you have consented to us doing so. We will always ensure that you have the ability to opt out of any future communication if you choose.
3.2 GPGA may need to transfer Personal Information between related bodies corporate and third party service providers, such as payroll agents and auditors, to facilitate centralised management of records and other functions, such as payroll and workers’ compensation management in the course of carrying on their respective businesses.
3.3 GPGA may also need to make Personal Information available to legal and regulatory authorities (such as the Australian Taxation Office), to accountants, auditors, lawyers and other outside professional advisers, and to companies who provide products and services to the company (such as IT systems suppliers, superannuation scheme or medical benefits providers, information management or administration service providers) (Required Recipients).
3.4 Required Recipients may be located, or have relevant operations outside of Australia. Therefore, it may be necessary to transfer Personal Information abroad. Some of the countries to which information is transferred may not have laws regulating the collection and disclosure of Personal information. In these cases, GPGA will take steps to ensure that the Required Recipients of any Personal Information comply with the Act.
3.5 GPGA takes reasonable steps to keep personal information confidential. We do not provide personal information about an individual to a third party without the consent of the individual, unless that individual would reasonably expect, or has been told, that information of that kind is usually disclosed to that third party, or that the disclosure is otherwise required or authorised under law.
4 Security of Personal Information
4.1 Your personal information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse, interference and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
4.2 When your personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your personal information. However, most of the personal information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

complete, relevant, and not misleading. If you believe that any personal information that we hold about you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading, please contact us, if we consider this to be the case, we will take reasonable steps to amend the personal information accordingly.

8.1 When you visit the GPGA website, we use a range of tools provided by third parties such as Google to collect or view website traffic information. These websites have their own privacy policies. We also use cookies and session tools to improve your experience when accessing our website.
