Hawkesdale P-12 College delivers a well-rounded program for senior students, focused on preparing them for future careers and employment.
A key aspect of this initiative includes conducting mock job interviews, with Hawkesdale wind farm invited to contribute as part of the interview panel.
Debra Dumesny, Community and Stakeholder Engagement Officer, represented the wind farm on the panel. As part of the exercise, students were required to prepare a resumé, apply for a job aligned with their chosen career path, and participate in a formal interview.
For many students, this was their first experience in such a setting, offering valuable insight into the expectations of a real-world job interview.
The program encourages students to present themselves professionally, helping to build confidence and readiness—not only for future careers but also for casual employment opportunities as they complete their schooling.
