During 2025, out of all the proposals submitted, four initiatives have been selected in the first round of this grant distribution, in which the Hawkesdale Wind Farm will participate and provide funding for their development.
In 2023, a local committee was established with the aim of setting the criteria and procedures to ensure that the winning projects would be those that benefit the community the most.
Among all the participants, the following four were selected:
- Hawkesdale-Macarthur Netball Club: refurbishment of the court ($26,900)
- Macarthur Shooting Club: replacement of sections of shooting lanes and installation of concrete paths on the lanes ($4,572.10)
- Macarthur Advancement and Development Association Inc.: installation of exercise and gym equipment in the Market Square Precinct ($10,000)
These projects are expected to improve the community’s quality of life by encouraging them to take care of their health and well-being.
