Benefits & commitments
As part of the commitments associated with the Berrybank 1 Wind Farm, a Community Engagement and Benefit Sharing Plan has been implemented, specifically customised according to the community feedback. Our company is financially supporting the delivery of this plan by investing into the community over the life of the wind farm through these key initiatives:
- Neighbour Benefit Program – to share economic benefits with the neighbours closest to the wind farm during the construction and operation phases
- Community Benefit Fund – to be implemented during the operation phase of the wind farm to develop priority local community projects
- Other Programs – to support local entrepreneurs to improve their capabilities such as leadership, etc
- Sponsorships & Donations – supporting business campaigns, organisations, events, etc locally
