Berrybank Wind Farm is proud to announce a new three-year partnership with the Lismore Land Protection Group (LLPG), investing $150,000 to help secure the future of one of the region’s most significant community-led environmental programs.
Through the partnership, the Berrybank Wind Farm will contribute $50,000 annually over the next
three years to support LLPG’s Annual Tree Planting Program, helping to deliver tens of thousands of native trees across the Corangamite Lakes Landcare Area.
Established in the early 1990s, the Lismore Land Protection Group was formed to support local landholders with Landcare initiatives, originally focused on establishing tree plantations to provide shelterbelts for livestock. Today, the group plays a vital role in restoring native vegetation and biodiversity across a 25-kilometre network surrounding Lismore, including the Berrybank area.
Each year, the Annual Tree Planting Program plants between 35,000 and 37,000 native trees in one of Victoria’s most depleted and underrepresented ecosystems.
The program supports farmers to restore shelterbelts and reconnect habitat corridors that provide essential refuge for native birds, bats and beneficial insects, strengthening both biodiversity and agricultural landscapes. The program is highly valued by the local community, with more than 800
members participating through the regions local Landcare groups and ongoing demand resulting in a waitlist for tree allocations each year.

The partnership aligns with Berrybank Wind Farm’s ongoing commitment to supporting projects that create positive environmental, social and economic outcomes within the communities in which it operates.
By investing in locally led environmental initiatives, Berrybank Wind Farm is helping create healthier landscapes, stronger biodiversity and more resilient farming communities across the Berrybank and Corangamite region.
